The Atropa Adventure

Carp fisherman since the age of 13, Daniel became passionate about Lake St Cassien when he heard about the record carp taken by Jean Louis BAUDIER in 1978. Once on the spot and after meeting him The British carpists, he immediately adopted in the early 1980s the English technique of carp fishing.

After several years of practicing this mode of fishing and several years of graduate studies of electronics, Daniel decided to develop his own products “Carpe”. Indeed, the carpists lacked useful products adapted to the practice of this fishing on the great lakes of our country.

The luminous marker Atrospot and the Atrocarp Solo alarm system for rods were tested for the first time in 1998 at the Enduro des bois de Callian on Lake St Cassien.

The Atropa brand was born in 2000 with the aim of innovate for the most demanding anglers and to design and to propose quality concepts that are unique in Europe. 10 invention patents were then filed.

At the era of globalization, Atropa has succeeded in innovating and manufacturing all of its products in France. Atropa records since 2000, the lowest rate of return-after-sale of the whole European market : less than 1 for 1000 ! A 3 year warranty accompanies all electronic products in the range.

New concepts are currently being tested on the lake of Sainte-Croix where the company came to set up in 2007.

Atropa Technologie was born out of the passion of its creator and designer Daniel Chanselme, for fishing, electronics and the wild and with the help of a band of friends whose ideas and permanent support were precious …

Among them : Serge Domenget, Alain Ferrand, Marie Gauthier, Claude Malgorn, Joël Moate, Christian Séjourné, Xavier Siniscalchi  … Benjamin, Fernand De Castro, Frédéric, Jean-Michel, Laurent, Philippe Lagabbe, Thibault And all the others that it is impossible to quote so long is the list …. not to mention my parents, Sophie, Valerie, Yannis and of course…. Andrea!
